Testimonials

  • Portrait of Kacie BosoneWhen I was searching for a Master’s program, I wanted to make sure I had one that included hands-on learning and in-person instruction. Utah Valley University’s Master of K-12 Educational Leadership program not only met those needs but provided me with rich knowledge in data-based decision making, instructional leadership, school operations management, and diversity and differentiation in education. The program prepared me well for my current administrative position and I also made lifelong friendships that I continue to rely on for support. The faculty not only cares about your success but helps you along your journey by providing assistance as you progress through the program.”

  • Portrait of Sharon MardesichMy favorite part of the program is the professors. Their encouragement, their understanding of my weaknesses and my fears and they were just always so positive and encouraging and working with me, understanding the situations I was in week to week, maybe with my job or with my family. They really work well with me personally and with the other students in my cohort."

  • Portrait of Erin WhitakerI am passionate about reaching out and leaning into the work of school counseling, helping students on a larger scale. UVU's school counseling program provided the opportunity to continue my educatioon—a framework built to increase my capacity, knowledge, skills, and enlarge my circle of influence so that I can be a safe person, in a safe place, as a school counselor."

  • Portrait of Anne PurcellI had been teaching for 15 years and wanted to pursue an instructional coaching position with my district. This degree helped me get the job I wanted and helped me learn how best to help teachers.

I absolutely loved my professors. I felt the learning activities and assignments really prepared me well to be a mentor and coach. I also felt like I learned so much from my peers as I interacted with them in class.

A lot of teachers want to go the easy route and get a master’s degree with online universities because it can be completed in a very short amount of time. I'm so glad I didn't do that! I really wanted to learn and UVU didn't disappoint. UVU is an excellent university and one I would recommend to anyone pursuing a higher degree in education."

  • Portrait of Brandon Fa'alafuaUVU’s School Counseling Program is amazing! I had little experience in the K-12 education field and was nervous to start the program.
