Academic Coaching & Educational Standards (ACES) promotes students’ academic success and assists those experiencing academic difficulty. We help students become active and independent learners through increasing self-awareness, developing skills, and accessing resources.

Students are expected to maintain high standards of conduct personally and academically. The Office of Student Rights and Accountability holds students accountable while ensuring the rights of individuals are respected. This office also provides access to an Ombuds who can help students resolve conflict through mediation and advocacy.

There are a lot of reasons you may need to take a break from school, so we want to make that transition as smooth as possible. Undergraduate students may take a leave of absence for up to seven semesters, including summer semesters.

Regardless of whether you plan on attending any graduation ceremonies, you need to apply to graduate through the Graduation office. GEAR UP is a federal program that supports eligible middle school and high school students as they graduate from high school and transition into college and postsecondary education. Admission to UVU is not required.
