An ombuds or ombudsman (pronounced “om-buhdz”) is a neutral, confidential, informal, and independent resource dedicated to helping individuals and groups within an organization address and resolve conflicts.
Like all organizational ombuds, the UVU Ombudsman for students maintains privacy and discretion, does not take sides in conflicts, provides off-the-record advice and support, and operates separately from UVU’s formal administrative structures.
For UVU faculty with inter-faculty issues, contact Dr. Natalie Grecu at [email protected], call 801-863-7321, or visit the Faculty Ombuds office in LA 224b.
