The Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) prepares graduates to apply knowledge, creativity, and analytical tools to conceptualize, design, analyze, simulate, prototype, test, and manufacture mechanical, fluid/thermal, and control systems for a wide range of applications that include automotive, biomedical, aerospace, energy, robotics, and manufacturing.
127 Credits to Graduate
The BSME provides combined classroom and laboratory components and will prepare students to work for local, state, and federal governments, biomedical and aerospace fields, manufacturing sectors, consulting firms, the transportation industry, and high-tech and energy sectors.
The B.S. in Mechanical Engineering is accredited by the ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission.
"UVU's mechanical engineering program offered a personalized experience."
"UVU's mechanical engineering program not only allowed me to earn a nationally accredited degree but also offered a personalized experience. My professors knew me by name, took a genuine interest in my learning, and actively supported my goals beyond graduation."
