The Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) prepares graduates to design the infrastructure and systems that enhance the quality of life. Learn about the design of infrastructure, including buildings, bridges, dams, canals, pipes, tunnels, highways, trains, airports, and treatment plants. Learn about systems such as traffic, water, waste water, planning, construction, and sustainability.

The Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) prepares graduates to apply knowledge, creativity, and analytical tools to conceptualize, design, analyze, simulate, prototype, test, and manufacture mechanical, fluid/thermal, and control systems for a wide range of applications that include automotive, biomedical, aerospace, energy, robotics, and manufacturing.

Pre-engineering coursework completed at UVU will be sufficient for students to remain at UVU or to transfer to all of the Utah universities with baccalaureate engineering degrees. All students who declare pre-engineering as their major are automatically accepted into pre-engineering status. After completion of the pre-engineering program at UVU, students can apply for professional status at UVU or at an institution of the student’s choice.
