Permits are required to park anywhere on campus. Your vehicle’s license plate serves as your permit and needs to be facing outwards to be scanned by the digital readers. If your license plate is not viewable you will receive a citation.
Only one vehicle associated to a parking permit may park on campus at any given time. If two vehicles associated with the same permit are found on campus at the same time, the second vehicle will receive a citation.
It is your responsibility to remember when your digital permit expires. Parking a vehicle associated with an expired permit will result in a citation.

Two permit options exist for students — yellow and purple. The yellow lot permit is a paid permit that grants access to the main UVU campus on the east side of the freeway. The purple permit is required for the free lot, which is located near the Health Professionals Building (HP) on the west side of the freeway. UTA is available for transportation between campuses. These permits are accessible online via the Parking Portal or at the parking office.
Motorcycles or scooters are not required to display a parking permit as long as they are parked in designated motorcycle parking areas on campus. Motorcycles may not park in regular vehicle stalls. Motorcycles or scooters parked on campus in zones other than in marked zones for motorcycles will be cited.
View designated motorcycle or scooter parking areas on the parking map.
Numbered motorcycle parking stalls located in the parking garage require paying the posted rate.
Parking permits are required for all employees who park on campus. Employee permits are accessible via the Parking Portal. Full-time employees must renew their parking permits annually. Part-time employees must renew their parking permit each semester. Employees are allowed to register up to three vehicles.
Employees seeking to obtain or renew a disabled parking permit are required to verify their state placard with Parking Services. Please do not use the Parking Portal to obtain or renew a disabled parking permit.
Employee permits are not valid in paylots, visitor lots, or the parking garage.
