How to partner with our office

The UVU Housing Fair takes place every February to provide an opportunity for students to do “one stop shopping” for places to live near UVU and the surrounding area. The Housing Fair brings together property owners and managers in order to inform students about housing options and how to successfully live off-campus. If you are a local student housing apartment complex looking to market, be sure to take advantage of the Housing Fair. The Housing Fair typically takes place in late February, is free for RCL partners, and available at a charge for other complexes.

 

Housing Fair

The UVU Housing Fair takes place every February to provide an opportunity for students to do “one stop shopping” for places to live near UVU and the surrounding area. The Housing Fair brings together property owners and managers in order to inform students about housing options and how to successfully live off-campus. If you are a local student housing apartment complex looking to market, be sure to take advantage of the Housing Fair. The Housing Fair typically takes place in February, is free for RCL partners, and available at a charge for other complexes.

Ad purchases and reservations take place in early November with artwork due early December. If you would like to be included in our email list for ad reservations, please contact us at [email protected]. Booklets are printed and distributed from January-December each year. RCL Program

The UVU RCL student leaders will provide your complex with 8 events in Fall and 8 events in Spring. UVU will provide the RCL student leaders with a student activities and programming budget for your complex for the academic year. *Specific restrictions apply (purchasing agent, budget allocation, purchase types, event types, etc. Your complex will become a “Proud UVU RCL Program Partner” by providing a half-rent housing scholarship, for the 9-month academic year, for two to three UVU RCL Program student leaders to live at your complex for the academic year. Your complex will be ensured that UVU pays the other half-rent (up front) at the beginning of each academic semester, during the course of the 9-month academic year.

Partner Incentives

  • As a “Proud UVU RCL Program Partner,” your complex will receive direct online advertising space on the UVU Housing website for the academic calendar year. This page directs students and parents directly to your site as they are searching for housing, all while promoting your brand throughout the online community. This online space is provided exclusively for those complexes partnering with the UVU RCL Program. UVU RCL Program Partner Page: www.uvu.edu/housing/rcl/
  • The UVU Housing Website averages 7,000+ hits per month during the year and 10,000+ hits during peak leasing season. This is a value of $2,500.00 per semester or $7,500.00 for the calendar year.
  • Your complex will be provided advertising sessions* ($1,500.00 + value) to UVU First-Year Orientation, for the academic year to recruit potential residential clients. Advertising at UVU First-year Orientations will help your business obtain earlier fill rates than other business competitors. Specific time, date and location restrictions apply. The number of advertising sessions depends on availability from the UVU Orientation office. This is provided exclusively for those complexes partnering with the UVU RCL Program.
  • Your complex is given free admission into the UVU Housing Fair ($300.00+ value, including entrance, booth rental, parking and meal vouchers).
  • Your complex will be invited to the UVU Mega Open House to recruit residents for your property.
  • Partnership complexes will be highlighted on our housing social media page (@uvuhousing), driving traffic to your complex's social pages

WCL Program

The UVU WCL student leaders will provide your complex with 4 events per semester. UVU will provide the WCL student leaders with a student activities and programming budget for your complex for the academic year. *Specific restrictions apply (purchasing agent, budget allocation, purchase types, event types, etc. Your complex will become a “Proud UVU WCL Program Partner” by providing a $2000 contribution to help pay for programing and student scholarships. 

Partner Incentives

  • As a “Proud UVU WCL Program Partner,” your complex will receive direct online advertising space on the UVU Housing website for the academic calendar year. This page directs students and parents directly to your site as they are searching for housing, all while promoting your brand throughout the online community. This online space is provided exclusively for those complexes partnering with the UVU WCL Program. UVU WCL Program Partner page: www.uvu.edu/housing/wcl/

Additional Advertising/Partnership Opportunities

There are three other opportunities for off-campus housing properties to advertise/market to UVU students. College Pads & Campus Connection both provide unique ways to reach UVU students looking for housing. Complexes can also work with UVU athletics to advertise and partner at athletic events throughout the year.

List your property on College Pads

  • The UVU Off-Campus Housing office is excited to partner with College Pads to continue to provide UVU students, faculty and staff with a safe option to look for off-campus housing and roommates. This partnership will also give local landlords and property managers more support in posting their properties for rent, and help connect UVU students with their search and understanding of the off-campus housing market.
  • The UVU Housing office and website will now direct all current and prospective students, faculty and staff in the search for housing near the university to the new housing marketplace facilitated by College Pads. uvu.rentcollegepads.com
  • We highly encourage all housing properties in the area to advertise their properties on the site. To learn more or to list your property, please contact: Chris Hoff, Vice President College Pads [email protected]
  • Disclaimer: Rent College Pads is not an affiliate or unit of Utah Valley University. The only relationship between UVU, the Off-Campus Housing and Residence Life Department is a contractual relationship. Through this relationship, Rent College Pads works with off-campus housing properties to collect information on apartment listings to assist students with their search for off-campus housing. Neither Utah Valley University nor Rent College Pads are authorized to act as agent for the other.

Campus Connection

  • Off-campus student housing complexes are considered Commercial Organization’s when it comes to their availability to advertise on UVU’s campus. Therefore, in order to put any signage on campus, complexes need to comply with the university’s commercial signage policy- www.uvu.edu/signage/commercial
