Master of Science in
The Master of Science in Mathematics Education (MS-MEd) degree is intended for licensed teachers with a level 4 endorsement or Secondary Mathematics Endorsement and at least two years of teaching experience, and/or students who have earned a master's degree in a discipline other than mathematics, but who lack the minimum 18-credit mathematics graduate credit hours to earn a Graduate Certificate in Mathematics.

UVU's Master of Mathematics Education has been developed as a part-time program to allow working professionals to continue working full-time while completing their degree.
The graduate courses will be offered in the evenings and during summer sessions to accommodate teachers’ schedules. Evening courses, primarily during the fall and spring semesters, will be offered 1-2 nights a week depending on the discipline. The mathematics courses will be offered one night a week, and the education courses could be two nights a week, with a mixture of online and hybrid.
Anyone with bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution and having undergraduate coursework equivalent to the Mathematics Endorsement 4 or Secondary Mathematics Endorsement is eligible to apply. Students should get passing score on the qualifying exam or take MATH 6000 (Mathematics Core Review) to start the required courses of the program.
