The tuition payment plan allows students to pay for their tuition and fees over the course of the semester with three payment installments. Payment installments are based on the amount you owe for tuition and fees. The student must enroll in the payment plan for each semester that they are registered before the Tuition/Fees Payment Deadline to secure registration and avoid the tuition late fee. Please review the student timetable for important dates.

The tuition payment plan is processed through Tuition Payment PLUS. Please follow the steps through the online system. If you have have questions on the process, please follow these instructions or contact the Collections Office at (801) 863-8611 or [email protected]. When you are enrolled you will receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive this email you are not enrolled.

  • Students with unpaid balances may be charged a late fee it not paid by the deadline. (Payment includes: Paid In Full, Enrollment In A Payment Plan, Scholarship Award, or Completed FAFSA Received By UVU.)

What is the tuition payment plan?

When should I enroll in the tuition payment plan to secure my classes?

For SPRING 2025, tuition payment plan enrollment MUST be completed by 11:59 pm, JANUARY 28, 2025  to secure registration.

Can my installment amounts change after I have enrolled in the plan?

Yes. The amounts of your installments may increase or decrease due to recalculation of your tuition and fees if you add or drop courses. Each time you adjust your schedule you should receive an email notifying you that your installment amounts have changed.

I no longer want to be enrolled at UVU and I signed up for the tuition payment plan, what should I do?

Students who no longer want to remain enrolled as a current student at UVU must officially withdraw by completing the LOA process. Students must follow the withdrawal deadlines outlined in the current student timetable to be eligible for any tuition and fees credit toward the payment of the tuition payment plan agreement. The $25 enrollment fee will NOT be refunded. If a student withdraws after the refund period as posted in the student timetable, the student will be responsible for the tuition charges.

When is the tuition payment plan available?

For SPRING 2025, the Tuition Payment Plan will be available NOV 18, 2025. You may enroll in the plan through MARCH 21st,  (missed payments are due at sign-up).

Am I eligible?

All regularly enrolled students with enough qualifying charges (at least $150.00) are eligible for this payment plan, unless they have defaulted on a prior payment plan. 

What are the tuition payment plan terms and conditions?

To enroll in the tuition payment plan you must complete the online application found on Tuition Payment PLUS and pay a $25, non-refundable, processing fee. No down payment is required!   Once enrolled, there are three equal payment installments due throughout the semester. For SPRING 2025, the installments are due on: JAN 31st,  FEB 28th and MARCH 28th. Late payments will be assessed a $25.00 fee.

How are payments made?

See Payment Options for details. When signing up for the plan, you can also choose to schedule your payments to be withdrawn from your bank account on the installment due dates. Please note that if you schedule your payments to come out of your bank automatically, you are responsible to have the funds available in your bank account for each scheduled payment. If you sign up for this option but decide that it will not work for you please contact the UVU Collections Office. If you are unsure of your bank routing number and/or account number contact your bank directly. Do not search the internet for that information.

What happens if I don't make my installment payments as agreed or my payment is returned by my bank?

If you do not make an installment payment as agreed you will be charged a $25 late fee for each missed installment payment. If your payment is returned by your bank, for any reason, you will be assessed a $20 return check charge and will need to make your installment payment again immediately. Please refer to our returned check policy for further information. Registration holds may also be placed on the student's account.

What if I haven't paid my balance at the end of the semester?

If your student account remains unpaid beyond the end of the semester for which you incur charges, your balance will be transferred to UVU's internal Collection Department. Interest of 1.5% per month (18% APR) will begin to accrue on your unpaid balance. Delinquent accounts may be turned over to an outside agency for collection and may be reported to one or more of the nationwide credit reporting bureaus.
