Abstract
The intersection of 800 South and 800 West in Orem, UT has traffic congestion in terms of disruption of continuous traffic movements, particularly at peak morning and afternoon hours. This proposed project is to resolve the issue by analyzing the existing traffic conditions at the intersection and designing a traffic control system that will alleviate future congestion issues. This traffic control system will improve future traffic conditions surrounding the Utah Valley University campus and create an intersection more conductive to and safer for pedestrian crossings.
