The Spanish Consulate in Los Angeles selects one student each semester to support its operational needs. Interns gain hands-on experience in a government setting, network with Spanish government officials, and enjoy the vibrant Los Angeles lifestyle. This internship provides a $12,000 scholarship per semester, covering tuition, fees, housing, utilities, and a stipend for the entire semester. Interns reside in a well-maintained 1920s apartment within walking distance of the Consulate, located in the heart of Hollywood.
At a consulate, interns often assist with immigration and visa processing, which involves reviewing applications, verifying documents, and helping individuals navigate the requirements for entry or residence in Spain. This work is essential in supporting those seeking visas for work, study, travel, or family reunification, and provides interns with valuable experience in international relations and public service.
This internship includes a generous scholarship that covers the cost of rent for a nearby one-bedroom apartment. In addition, students receive approximately $4,500 to help with tuition and other living expenses, providing added support throughout the semester.
