Video Use Guidelines

Videos that are displayed within uvu.edu pages, or linked to from uvu.edu pages should be in line with institutional goals, and should aid in presenting a serious, professional image of UVU. All videos should include captions.

Kaltura is the preferred method for automated video captioning.

Manual captioning on YouTube videos is also available, for videos that are owned by the department.

Videos in Page Headers

Criteria for videos in page headers:

• Adding a video to a page header should be approved by and implemented by DEAT.
• There should only be one video header per site.
• Videos used in page headers must be created or approved by Studios & Broadcast.
