I am not a low-income, potential first-generation college student. Can I still receive services?

Yes. TRIO EOC is a program that aims to help all adults in Utah, Wasatch, Summit, and San Juan counties reach their educational and career goals. Preference is given to individuals who come from a low-income background or who are potential first-generation college students.

I have an outstanding balance with a college, can I still go back to college?

Yes. We encourage you to meet with one of our EOC Specialists to assist you.

What if I do not want to attend a four-year university program?

We assist individuals with their post-secondary education goals, including certificates and other opportunities outside of a traditional four-year degree.

How long does an appointment last?

Appointments are scheduled for 60 minutes at a time, though some services may not take that full time depending on your circumstances.

Do I need to apply for TRIO EOC services before I make an appointment?

There is no TRIO EOC application. Anyone who would benefit from our services can make an appointment to meet with a specialist.

Can high school students use TRIO EOC services?

Yes, however, you must be in the 12th grade and not have access to a TRIO Educational Talent Search (ETS) or Upward Bound (UB) program in your community.

I have a bachelor’s degree. Can I still receive TRIO EOC services?

No. Individuals who hold a bachelor’s degree from the U.S. are not eligible for TRIO EOC services. Adults who received a bachelor’s degree in another country are still eligible for our services.
