- Applications are open every year during March.
- A group interview is held in April.
- To apply to be a mentor, you must have taken (or currently be enrolled in) a lower
division SLSS course (1000, 1100, 1200 2100, 2500) and SLSS 3200. You must pass each
course with a B+ or higher.
- You must be able to provide two professional references.
- Your GPA must be above 2.75.

- Be a full-time students (12 credits/semester).
- Maintain a GPA of 2.75 or higher.
- Enroll in and pass SLSS 2300 with an A- or higher your first semester in the program.
- Enroll in and pass SLSS 240R with an A- or higher every subsequent semester in the
program.
- Participate in our two large events: First Year Fest during Fall semester and Utah
Valley Leadership Conference during Spring semester.
- Participate in Jumpstart Orientation tabling, event tabling, and monthly mentor events.
- Be available to mentor a course, including attending the course (around 10 hours a
week)
- Be available to attend Mentor Bootcamp in May.
- Be available to attend Mentor Fall Retreat and Connection Conference in August.
