NOTE: This policy will be bundled with Policy 524 Graduate Program Credit and Graduation Requirements, which is already in Stage 1 Drafting, regular policy process, for revision.
President’s Council has approved Policy 510 to enter Stage 1. Policy 510 will address criminal background, drug use, and vaccination information that may be asked during the graduate admission process, especially for applicants applying to be clinical students who work with patients. It will also address how to manage graduate applicants who may have behavioral issues that other institutions report. The new iteration of the policy will ammend the international admissions section to allow applicants who earned a higher education degree from a given list of universities to bypass the TOEFL or IELTS requirements. The revisions would allow accelerated graduate admissions and reflect the ability for students to enter a combined master's degree program.
