Approved Action: Approved for entrance to Stage 4 for Board of Trustees approval.
Summary: The proposed changes to this policy are limited in scope to the deletion of section
4.12.1 in alignment with constitutional law. This limited-scope revision, its executive

Policy Action: Revisions, Non-substantive change process
Approved Action: Approved to submit to General Counsel for review. In accordance with the policy process changes enacted by Policy 101 Policy Governing Policies, non-substantive revisions (such as grammatical corrections, title changes, etc.)
to policy are reviewed by the University's General Counsel before being implemented
in the Policy Manual. Non-substantive revisions do not alter the effective date of policies. See the Policy Process page for more information.
Summary: Non-substantive revisions are needed in policies 241 through 247 to update titles

646 will end September 30, 2022.
Summary: This policy is being revised to clarify appeal hearing processes for faculty contesting
negative retention, tenure, and promotion decisions at the appropriate final level,
set forth the roles and responsibilities of those involved in the appeal processes,
and clarify the timelines. Guidance for communication and confidentiality have been addressed in this revision
as well.
