1: Determine your category of fellowship using the Fellowship Category Tool. Which category will you apply for?

This level of Fellowship is suitable for anyone who doesn’t have an extensive teaching background, or who only teaches part-time (i.e. an Adjunct Professor). Associate Fellow is also suitable for anyone who supports student learning without directly teaching them (librarians, educational researchers, advisors, etc.)

This level of Fellowship is suitable for anyone who is within their first three years of full-time teaching, or who has a solid teaching background in higher education.

This level of Fellowship is suitable for anyone who has a solid teaching background and who has done significant work to develop others or lead key initiatives within the institution.

This level of Fellowship is suitable for a select few who have instigated significant change in teaching and learning within the institution and beyond.

2: What is the PSF?

The Professional Standards Framework (PSF) is a comprehensive set of professional standards and guidelines for everyone involved in teaching and supporting learning in HE, it can be applied to personal development programs at individual or institutional level to improve teaching quality. The framework identifies the diverse range of teaching and support roles and environments. These are reflected and are expressed in the Dimensions of Professional Practice.

Associate Fellow (AFHEA)	Context Statement + CV + Account of Professional Practice (1500 words) + 1 Reference Letter	Accredited Path \| Per semester: submit to OTL for review by UVU's Assessment Panel.

Fellow (FHEA)	Context Statement + CV + Account of Professional Practice (3000 words) + 2 Reference Letters

Senior Fellow (SFHEA)	Context Statement + CV + Account of Professional Practice + 2 Case Studies (6000 words) + 2 Reference Letters

Principal Fellow (PFHEA)	Account of Professional Practice + Record of Educational Practice (7000 words) + 3 Advocate Letters	Direct Application Path \| Anytime: Submit directly to HEA. OTL will pay the application fee for UVU employees.
