Are there any additional eligibility requirements?

Eligibility status of all participants will be checked using the ID number provided to IMLeagues.

Players are only allowed to participate on one team per league/sport. Players caught playing on two different teams in the same league or sport will cause their team to forfeit each game they participated in.

After having played in two games for one team, players cannot switch teams without express approval through the Intramurals office. Players caught doing so will be removed from the league, and the new team they play for may forfeit the resulting games.

Players are required to have participated in one regular season game to be eligible to participate in the playoffs.

How much does it cost to participate?

We have team sports and individual sports, and each sport varies in price. The entry fee for team sports varies based on the event and is usually around $5 – $15 per person.

Intramural participants who are not current UVU students must pay the non-student fee of $35/semester.

How do I get on a team if I don't have one?

If you don't have a team and would like to be on one, make an account on IMLeagues, sign up as a Free Agent in the division you want to play, and request to be on a team. Contact the team captain before you join their team.

Anyone who plays for two teams in the same sport shall be ineligible for all future games in that sport for the remainder of the semester. The second team for which the player played shall receive a forfeit loss for each game in which the ineligible player participated.

Intramural Sports uses Student Officials for all team officiated sports. Prior experience is helpful but not needed to become a member of the Intramural Sports Officiating Team. We also look for Event Managers and Office Staff and welcome work study. If you are interested in working with us, come to the Intramurals office in SL 213 for more information or check UVU Jobs for available postings.

A forfeit is when a team does not have the minimum number of players required to play at game time. The opposing team may grant a 10-minute grace period, but a forfeit will be called if the team still does not have the minimum number required.

What if I have a protest about a call made by an official?

Protests on rule interpretation, discrepancy, and eligibility must be filed by the Team Captain before the next legal live play. Protests on judgment calls are not allowed.

What does the Champion get?

Intramural Champion t-shirts will be awarded for all sports, except those sports that do not meet the minimum requirement for the number of entries to conduct the event.
