UVU Atlas Award 2019

Each year the UVU Office for Global Engagement recognizes individuals or organizations who have supported, promoted, or advanced our global mission to empower students to become competent and confident leaders and world citizens through creating opportunities for successful experiences in a globally interdependent community. 

Upon the recommendation of the Office for Global Engagement and the approval of the UVU Global Community Advisory Board, awards are presented under the following five categories:

     
 Andrew Jensen    UVU STUDENT: Andrew Jensen -  pursuing a double majoring in National Security Studies and Computer Science
     
 Ellie Thompson    UVU FACULTY OR STAFF: Ellie Thompson - Coordinator, UVU Reflection Center
     
 Felecia Maxfield-Barrett    UTAH COMMUNITY PARTNER: Felecia Maxfield-Barrett - Executive Director, Utah Council for Citizen Diplomacy
     
 Ben Kolendar    UTAH BUSINESS  / GOVERNMENT: Ben Kolendar - Acting Director, Office of Economic Development, SLC
     
 Jackie Biskupski    PERSON OF THE YEAR: Jackie Biskupski - Mayor of Salt Lake City
