Payment Plan Information

Deferred payment plans, also known as installment plans, are a convenience to help students manage college expenses. Program fees are broken into 3 installments payable throughout the semester. The installment dates and amounts will be listed in the agreement upon enrollment. The agreement may be printed for your records.

A $25 non-refundable Processing Fee is required for study abroad payment plan enrollment. Students, if eligible for this plan, can sign up through their MyUVU portal.

If a student withdraws from registered courses after the refund period, as posted in the student timetable, the student will still be responsible for the tuition/fee charges. Interest of 1.5% per month will begin to accrue on any unpaid balance after the semester has ended. Please see the Student Financial Responsibility Agreement(SFRA) for more detailed information.

Please note that withdrawal from registered courses DOES NOT constitute withdrawal from the Study Abroad program. Students should refer to the Refunds and Cancellation Policy on the Office for Global Engagement website for withdrawal procedures and policy on Study Abroad refunds. All study abroad balances must be paid in full before the travel date unless a guarantee, in writing, is in place stating enough financial aid resources are available to cover any outstanding debt.

Any check payment that fails to clear the bank, FOR ANY REASON, will require the student to immediately pay in full the balance owed on the returned check plus a $20 returned check fee. If a scheduled plan payment is missed, UVU reserves the right to place a restrictive hold on the student account prohibiting further registration activity until payment plan payments are current.
