Abstract
The purpose of this project was to design, construct and demonstrate an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle within the guidelines for the SAE micro-class competition, including carrying and releasing a water payload as would be needed in firefighting applications. The team sought to maximize the plane's flight score using the competition scoring equation. The team successfully met all design specifications and demonstrated flights scores that would have ranked them in the top 5 at the competition.
