Abstract
The purpose of this project was to design, create and demonstrate a device that helps scientists to do experiments on silicone models of venous valves. The system was designed to compress the vein models radially, similar to how veins are compressed inside our bodies. This will help scientists study risk factors for diseases such as Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) and Pulmonary Embolism (PE).
