Abstract
This project entails the design and construction of a UAV in accordance with SAE competition guidelines, aiming for the highest achievable score. The scoring system is determined by an equation that emphasizes minimizing wing-span, maximizing payload weight, and successfully carrying one soccer ball. The UAV must also adhere to functional, safety, and legal requirements. To ensure comprehensive design considerations, input from local RC airplane experts, manufacturers, and the FAA was incorporated into the project's design requirements.
