

Abstract
The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Concrete Canoe Competition provides students a unique opportunity to gain hands-on practical experience while testing their skills with concrete mix designs and project management challenges. This year's team goals are to create a canoe that hold successfully 4 people with an appropriate factor of safety, is a lightweight design, has a green color, and called "The Gherkin" (pickle), and that the team aims to win a canoe race during the competition in Logan, UT in April.
