STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE

  1. Talk to the internship coordinator or use wolverine track to determine what kind of internship, if any, is required for your major. Check to see if there are any required prerequisites to receiving internship credit.
  2. Use Handshake, LinkedIn, job fairs, and other resources to find an internship that meets your needs and interests. Apply, interview, and be accepted for an internship. (Check out the WSB writing lab to polish your resume!)
  3. Once you've been hired for an internship, you need to apply for course credit. You'll need to complete a short online orientation and fill out an application.
  4. Within 10 days, you will receive an email notifying you that your internship is approved; you can then register for the appropriate internship course to receive credit.
  5. Work hard and learn as much as you can at your internship, and complete assignments through Canvas from your instructor.
