Adam is a professor of finance at UVU and is excited to be part of the Wolverine Fund for the unparalleled experience it provides students to apply their education by investing real dollars and participating in live deals. His work experience includes positions with Citigroup’s investment banking division in New York; Banco Itaú in São Paulo, Brazil; and Intermountain Healthcare in Utah. Adam received bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Utah State University and a doctoral degree in business administration (emphasis in finance) from Penn State University. He enjoys spending time with his family, hiking in the Wasatch Mountains, and traveling, especially throughout Latin America.
Katelyn is a sophomore studying finance with a minor in economics. She has worked at various marketing companies and has a background in SEO, digital marketing, and copywriting. She is passionate about business and enjoys being involved in clubs. Katelyn is currently the Vice President of the Marketing Association and the Treasurer of the Investment Banking Club. After graduation, Katelyn plans to pursue a career in Private Equity and obtain her MBA. Katelyn’s hobbies include reading, photography, listening to music, and drawing.
Rob received his undergraduate in Liberal Arts from Utah State University and his MBA and JD degrees from Brigham Young University. Additionally, Rob served as the Legal Affairs Director of Brigham Young University’s student run private equity fund, Cougar Capital. In between his degrees Rob spent a year in Washington DC working for United States Senator Robert F. Bennett.
Rob's last position was Head of Growth at Juxta Labs. While there Rob played a key role in creating the new social app Mappen which at the time of this writing is the #5 Social Networking app in the appstore. He is now a partner and co-founder of Alta Global Ventures and Managing Director of Kickstart Peru Seed Fund.
Rob currently resides in Salt Lake City, UT and is a proud husband and father of four
daughters and a son.
Bryson started his career at Arthur Andersen in Washington DC providing audit and consulting services to a variety of clients After his time at Arthur Andersen, he implemented two Sarbanes Oxley compliance programs, one at Nextel Communications (NYSE S) and the other at Harcourt Education (NASDAQ HMHC) Bryson then returned to business school, and upon graduating, worked as an investment banker for Bank of America Merrill Lynch in the US and Latin America financial institutions group He was also Senior Principal at a boutique advisory firm that assists small and medium sized businesses obtain growth capital Bryson has raised over 37 billion in public and private capital offerings He received a B S in Accounting and M B A from BYU where he was a Hawes Scholar.
Jefferson received his B.A. in Political Science and his M.B.A. both Brigham Young University. While in his MBA, he was also accepted into BYU's Cougar Capital venture program.
Jefferson Moss is currently the divisional executive director for UVU Institutional Advancement and COO for the UVU Foundation. In this role, he provides the day-to-day management of the University endowment. He also helps facilitate new alternative investment strategies that the Foundation is pursuing. Recently he also launched and now directs the Wolverine Fund, a student-run venture fund, and the Excellence and Innovation Initiative.
Prior to coming to UVU, Moss launched and sold multiple companies and then served as a wealth strategist for Key Bank and Credit Suisse in their private banks sectors.
Moss is active in the community. He currently serves as an elected member of the Utah State Board of Education. He also served on the Utah State Board of Regents and was elected to serve a term on the City Council in Saratoga Springs. He currently serves in the Utah State House of Representatives.
Matt Peterson is a Utah Local, He attended Brigham Young University for his undergrad and graduate studies. While at BYU, he sat on BYU's venture fund, Cougar Capital.
Soon after graduating, Matt began working on his own startup, Jive Communications. In 2018, Jive was purchased by LogMeIn, for $357 million.
Since the purchase of Jive, Matt runs UVU's student-run venture fund and has created a venture due-diligence firm known as MEZY.
