404 Image size guidelines

What size should images be?

While there are no set image size specifications, a good rule of thumb is for image size to be as close as it will appear on the page as possible. For example, do not upload an image that is 2500 pixels wide if it will be displayed at a 600 pixel width on a page. Instead, size your image to be as close to 600 pixels wide as possible. This will improve page load times.

When sizing images, keep mobile device usage in mind. If an image will be displayed at full width on a mobile device, it should be at least 320 pixels wide.

Header images

Header images that will be displayed at full width across the top of a page should be at least 1800 pixels wide. There is not a set height specification for header images.
