Mark Borchelt, MFA, BS, is an Associate Professor at Utah Valley University. He was formerly Director of Dance at the Interlochen Arts Academy and has served on faculty at the University of Utah, Southern Methodist University, and Cornish College of the Arts. A distinguished pedagogue, consultant, and master teacher, Mr. Borchelt has taught and lectured internationally at dance workshops and conferences. His choreography has been produced with acclaim in both professional and academic venues. For many years, he was a faculty member for the Project Zero Classroom and Arts and Passion Driven Learning at Harvard University.
Jamie A. Johnson is an Assistant Professor of Dance at UVU. After earning a BFA in Ballet and a BA in English, Johnson danced professionally with numerous companies throughout the United States. Career highlights include performing as a principal dancer with Boulder Ballet and touring internationally with MOMIX. An in-demand teacher and choreographer, Ms. Johnson’s work has been presented by Interlochen Center for the Arts, St. Paul Ballet, Utah Metropolitan Ballet, and West Texas A & M University. She holds a MFA in Dance from the University of Washington with additional certifications in Autism Movement Therapy and Yoga.
Stefan Zubal From Forest Hill, Maryland Stefan discovered dance while studying music in college. He received his early training with County Ballet Studio, the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet and the Washington School of Ballet. He performed professionally with the Richmond Ballet and then Fort Wayne Ballet. Stefan performed a broad range of repertory, including principal roles in Sleeping Beauty, Balanchine’s Concerto Barocco, and Limon’s There is a Time. Stefan has earned a BA in Theatre through Purdue University at Fort Wayne and a MFA in Dance from Florida State University. He is a Certified GYROTONIC® trainer and apprentice GYROKINESIS® trainer.
