March 21–22
The arts possess the sublime power to inspire, engage, and transform. Just as a solitary note holds the ability to captivate, a single voice, gesture, or melody possesses the ineffable power to carry us away.
We invite you to embark upon a new journey with us this season at The Noorda Center—home to inspiring events and an exciting hub for the arts in Utah County. Our mission is to produce and present artistic excellence, which would not be possible without the generous support of our donors and sponsors. We thank them and express our deep gratitude to all patrons, supporters, and friends of The Noorda Center.
Thank you for journeying with us this season to experience the profound and transformative power of the arts!

Courtney Taylor
Courtney is so thrilled to be playing Kathryn! This is her second show with the TYE Center and is so grateful for all the work the TYE Center does. Courtney loves children’s theater so please cast her in TYA shows hehe. This is her last show at UVU before she graduates in May with a BFA in acting (her dad is very proud of her). Her most recent credits include Pride and Prejudice (Mary), Les Misérables (Eponine), and Romeo and Juliet (Juliet). She dedicates this show to third grade Courtney who would’ve benefited greatly from this beautiful show. Much love to Mark—thank you for spending countless of hours helping me memorize, you are everything. To the cast and production team, I love you and thank you!! Enjoy the show!
Tabitha Whittekiend
Tabitha is a junior in the BFA Acting program and got into acting because of her immense love for attention! Some of her past UVU productions include Metamorphoses and The Wolves. She has loved working with this amazing cast and crew, and she can’t wait for you to see this show!
Brielle Szendre
Brielle is so excited to be doing her first show with UVU’s TYE Center! They are a senior in UVU’s BFA Musical Theatre program and most recently appeared in their stage production and documentary, In Good Faith. She loves to be on stage and to tell other people’s stories. When not in the stage or in school, they can be found snuggling their cat Soup or spending time with loved ones. She hopes you enjoy Scaredy Kat Presents! It’s going to be okay!
Carly McBride
Carly is absolutely ecstatic to get to play the dragon in this show. They’re a sophomore in the BS Theatre Education program at UVU, and this is their first show at the university. It’s also their first time acting as a swing! Some previous roles include Jack’s mother in Into the Woods and Ma Strong in Urinetown at Centerpoint Academy. You can see them as the sound designer for The Thanksgiving Play and scenic designer for New Kid, both at UVU. They’d like to thank Liz for putting this crazy thing on and their cast mates for always inspiring them. And of course all their friends and family! Thank you all for your support!!
Jake Hedelund
Jake is a Sophomore at UVU in the BS Theatre Education program, and he has been dreaming of being an assistant director for a long time. Jake has been so thrilled to work with Liz and the rest of the cast for each and every rehearsal. This process has been so educational and rewarding, and he cannot wait to keep growing in his directing abilities. During this process, he has also received the opportunity to act as the Stage Manager for the touring show which has been an honor to be able to do for the TYE Center. Thanks to my family and friends who have always supported me! I Love you all so much! Enjoy the show!
Carly McBride
Carly is a sophomore in the BS Theatre Education program at UVU. Though they have several years of experience as an audio engineer, this is their first time sound designing. They can be seen in about a week sound designing The Thanksgiving Play at UVU. You can also see them in the fall scenic designing New Kid for the TYE touring show. They’re very grateful to Kaitlin for taking a chance on them despite their lack of experience and for all the support from mentors, friends, and family. Love you guys!!
As we prepare to welcome the community to experience the wonder at The Noorda Center, we'd like to thank you for making it all possible.
