I want to personally thank you all for coming and supporting the UVU Ballroom Dance Company. We value all our friends, family, and alumni, and are so grateful for your continued support in our ballroom dance program here at UVU!
The UVU Ballroom Dance Company consists of four teams within the company. The 12:00 Team (Directed by Giovanna Jackson) and the 1:00 team (Directed by Chris Witt), are both intermediate to advance skill level and represent the base of the UVU Ballroom Dance Company as a whole. The UVU Ballroom Dance Ensemble Team (Directed by Mary Lyn Keck), formerly known as the UVU Ballroom Dance Company Back-up Tour Team, holds several Ohio Star Ball College Formation Championship titles and frequently travels on tour with the Tour Team. The UVU Ballroom Dance Company Tour Team (Directed by Tara Boyd) is the 2022 British Open Formation Champions in both Latin and Standard Formation Dance, holders of six World Titles, two USA Dance National Formation Championships, and the DWTS Collegiate Champions. Tour Team is preparing to go back to Blackpool, England to compete at the Blackpool DanceSport Festival and have another chance to represent Utah at the British Open Formation Championships in May 2025.
We hope to broaden awareness of the UVU Ballroom Dance Company and help support ballroom dance within the local community. Any donations to help prepare for these upcoming adventures would be greatly appreciated. Our program is largely funded by revenues gained from UVU Ballroom Dance Concerts and the UVU DanceSport Festival in March. To help our students be able to have these touring and competition experiences, donations to the UVU Ballroom Dance Program are essential. Thank you so much for your support by coming to watch the UVU Ballroom Dance Concert, participating in the UVU DanceSport Festival, and any other donations made to the UVU Ballroom program.
