The American Theatre for the Very Young Digital Festival, created with a grant from the Children’s Theatre Foundation of America and sponsored by the TYE Center and the American Alliance for Theatre & Education, is a curated collection that provides theatre practitioners, educators, and students access to full-length video recordings of plays created for the very young: 18 months to 6 years old. It is password-protected and NOT intended for use by the general public, but practitioners and educators may share it with other theatre practitioners and educators as well as their own students, and we encourage them to do so. In addition to performance recordings, the festival also includes recordings of online conversations with the creators and performers of these pieces. These conversations happen three times per semester and are hosted and facilitated by AATE.
