With so many different rodeo programs across the country, what makes the UVU Rodeo program different? UVU is one of the most competitive schools in the Rocky Mountain region, with students qualifying for national competitions every year. Our Men’s and Women’s teams have won the region 7 times and were the region’s reserve champions 12 since 2004.
UVU Rodeo has our own practice stock, arena, and stalls for regular use and a team truck and trailer for traveling to competitions. In addition to team meetings, guest speakers, and other social gatherings, we offer scholarships to our student athletes so they can focus on their education while participating in the rodeo program.
UVU Rodeo does not host formal tryouts. Instead, we ask that all applicants meet the following criteria:
UVU Rodeo relies on more hands than just our student athletes. We welcome volunteers who want to be involved with our program to come and help at practices. Our team takes the time to help volunteers become more familiar with our way of life and gives them the opportunity to try some of the events we compete in.
