Awards of Excellence

The University Awards of Excellence program recognizes full-time faculty and staff who dedicate their time and talents to students, scholarship, and the advancement of higher education. Annually, the UVU Board of Trustees recognizes faculty and staff for their contributions to strengthening UVU's mission. Additionally, the Presidential Awards of Excellence highlight faculty and staff for their efforts in key areas related to UVU's mission, values, and action commitments.

UVU Awards of Excellence Nomination Information

The UVU Board of Trustee Awards of Excellence are the university's most prestigious award designed to recognize UVU employees who have made outstanding long-term contributions to the university.

The UVU Presidential Awards of Excellence are designed to recognize UVU employees who advance the mission, values, and action commitments of the university.

Eligibility criteria can be found in the Policy Manual under Policy 113.

Nomination Procedure

Complete nomination packet will include the following components:

Nomination cover sheet
- Download Trustee/Presidential Award Nomination Cover Sheet
Nomination letter from a fellow employee. This letter should be no longer than one page and should address the unique ways the nominee has demonstrated excellence in teaching, engagement, student success support, and/or any of the areas designated above. Please note that individuals may not self-nominate.
A current resume, vitae, or summary of professional accomplishments for the nominated individual.
