President’s Council has approved Policy 526 to enter stage 1 of the regular drafting process. It will be bundled with Policies 503, 522, and 523, which are already in Stage 1 for revision. As the drafting committee began developing plans for Policy 526 Student Records Adjustment (a new policy), they realized these policies, because of interdependencies, need to go through the policy process as a bundle. This new policy will cover student record adjustments. This process allows a student to petition changes to their transcript based on personal, extenuating, and documented non-academic circumstances (in compliance with FERPA which states students shall have the right to request to amend their education records). The parameters and procedures are provided herein.
