Why work for the Math Lab?

The Math Lab provides opportunities for students from a variety of academic backgrounds and majors to apply their knowledge by helping increase their peers' mathematical skills .  We strive to create an environment where students and tutors alike can learn and grow. By working in the Math Lab, you’ll strengthen your communication abilities and put the knowledge you learned from classes into practice. Sharing concepts you understand with students not only benefits the person getting tutored, but keeps the information fresh in your mind for all future academic endeavors.

All tutors are trained and certified through College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA), an internationally accredited program. This certification sets a professional standard to our tutoring and is an impressive asset to add to your resume! We make sure to provide our tutors with ample opportunities to improve their tutoring skills, ensuring they feel confident and comfortable when interacting with students.

The Math Lab offers other positions besides tutoring including office assistants and supplemental instructors. Every role of the Math Lab is essential to the success of our students and is supported every step of the way. The Math Lab is a great place to put all you have learned in your classes to use, give back to your community and get paid for it!
