Each Women's Program scholarship has its own eligibility requirements; some examples are enrollment, grade point average, and involvement with the Women's Program. To be eligible, complete internal UVU Scholarships application through Scholarship Universe. We also have need-based scholarships available and this is determined with the completion of a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application.

General Scholarship Requirements

Below are just a few general requirements of all our scholarships.

  • Submit a completed UVU General Application before the current deadline of March 1.
  • GPA varies per scholarship, students with a 2.5 or greater are eligible to apply
  • Complete a FAFSA application

Women's Program Scholarships

Women of UVU President

The Women of UVU President Scholarship is awarded to a student who has a minimum 2.7 cumulative GPA, and enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits each semester. The recipient will serve as the Women of UVU President and represent the Women’s Program; recipient cannot hold any other leadership position on UVU campus, must limit employment or extracurricular activities to 25 hours per week, and spend a maximum of 20 hours per week accomplishing President duties.

Women's Leadership Academy

This partial tuition scholarship is for students who are selected to participate in the Women's Leadership Academy. Students must agree to enroll in the cohort, three-credit hour course for both the fall and spring semester, have a minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA and enroll in a minimum of 12 credits per semester.

I missed the scholarship deadline, what can I do?

There are still other scholarships available! Refer back to the UVU General Application to view external opportunities that are still accepting applications. Additionally, as funding becomes available the UVU's Student Care Hub exists for students who need financial support for housing and food.

Who can I ask about my scholarship requirements?

All scholarship questions should be directed to Financial Aid. Make an appointment with a Financial Aid and Scholarship Counselor.

What does it mean to be involved with the Women's Program?

Involvement with the Women’s Program includes participation in Women of UVU, Women’s Leadership Academy, Women's Program programs, workshops, events, or the Wee Care Center.

How long should my answers be in the General Application?

There is a 500-word limit and totally up to you on how to format your answers. You can respond to each question individually or submit a paragraph responding to all four questions.
