The Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) experience in this course is a unique opportunity for students to engage in cross-cultural collaboration and enhance their intercultural competencies. This transformative COIL journey, starting on the third week of classes and spanning seven weeks, will provide ample preparation and meaningful engagement with peers from Universidad Nacional de Moreno, Buenos Aires, Argentina. The skills and knowledge students gain from this experience will be invaluable in their academic and professional journey.
A Canvas module is dedicated to the COIL experience with all the necessary resources. Throughout the course, students will have the opportunity to learn and utilize various technological tools, such as Padlet, Whiteboard, and AI Google Translate, to communicate effectively with their peers in Argentina. These tools enhance collaboration and enable seamless interaction and the exchange of ideas.
By actively participating in this COIL experience, students will not only develop vital intercultural communication skills and broaden your understanding of global issues, but also cultivate a sense of global citizenship. They will establish valuable connections and expand their professional network by collaborating with students from different cultural and academic backgrounds. This transformative COIL experience will allow us to explore new horizons, leverage technology, and foster intercultural understanding as we work towards positively impacting the world.
