detectors? Smoke detectors should be installed on every floor and inside or near every
bedroom. Carbon monoxide detectors should be installed on every floor.
Test smoke and CO detectors monthly.
Replace batteries in smoke and CO detectors every 6 months.
Did you know you should store an ABC fire extinguisher in any room that contains a
major heat source? Such rooms could include the kitchen, garage, utility room and

Did you know you should always keep a flashlight and sturdy shoes near your bed at
night? In case of an earthquake or other disaster, power may become disrupted. A flashlight
provides you light and shoes protect you from any debris or glass that may have fallen.
