What:

The Graduation Distinction in Undergraduate Research and Creative Works aims to recognize students who have completed advanced scholarly or creative endeavors above and beyond the requirements for a university degree through independent effort.

Who:

Currently, students who are pursuing research in the departments of Biology and Physics are eligible for this distinction. Other departments are working towards this as well. Contact your department Chair!

Why:

Get recognized for completing the distinction and be honored at graduation with a cord and an annotation on their official transcript. Make your resume shine for job and graduate school!

How:

Read the Student Guidelines document and go over the criteria for your department.  

  1. Find a research advisor
  2. Fill out the Declaration of Intent Form
  3. Complete the coursework

  4. Submit a research proposal
  5. Complete the research

  6. Present your research

  7. Submit application by deadline leading up to your graduation
