IR Holiday Social

December 13 will be our in-person IR Holiday Social. We will be having breakfast and a white elephant gift exchange. The limit for the gift is $10 (although it can certainly be less than that); the more outrageous the gift, the better. (No live animals or extremely large/heavy things that cannot fit in a car.)

This will be our second collaboration day in December, so the sub-department meetings the following week (December 20) have been changed to Teams meetings (although you are still welcome to come to campus that day if you would like).

Greenbucks for UVU staff

In addition to receiving a bonus day off on Wednesday, November 24, President Tuminez also announced employees will be given $80 in GreenBucks. The deposit will be made to myUVU accounts on Tuesday, November 16. Those who wish to donate the gift instead needed to have emailed Payroll at [email protected] by Monday, November 8.

Stephen Whyte leaving uvu

Stephen Whyte has accepted a new position at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions, and his last day at UVU will be December 3. He was also recently elected as a Representative in the Utah House of Representatives.

"Messages shall not be retained beyond one term. Users who feel the need to retain copies of messages beyond that point need to archive them, save them, or print them and retain them in that form."

Campus Store Staff Holiday Sale

The annual staff holiday sale at the new Campus Store will be held on December 2. Shop from 2:00-6:00 pm for 30% off. Santa will arrive at 4:00 pm and stay for the festivities until 6:00 pm. The sale continues the next day with a 25% discount.

Full-Time staff need to use leave by December 23

Full-time employees will lose all personal leave and any vacation hours over 240 on December 31. There are 3 paid holidays in November for Thanksgiving and 6 paid holidays in December for Christmas/New Year's, so be sure to figure that into your time off--plus the leave you will be accruing in the next few paychecks before the end of 2021.

Part-time staff can make up holiday hours

Part-time staff may work more hours before and/or after holidays with supervisor approval as long as the Payroll time policies are followed (not more than 39 hours per week AND less than 120 hours in November and 112 hours in December).
