Building Belonging in Our Community

Belonging  is about being heard and respected. Sometimes, well-meaning actions miss the mark when the voices and preferences of the people they’re intended to support are not part of the conversation.

It’s vital to move beyond surface-level invitations  and actively engage autistic individuals in decisions and environments that affect them.

At its core, true belonging means supporting autistic people in ways that respect their choices and individuality.  Take the opportunity to listen to autistic voices, consider their preferences, and involve them in meaningful ways.
