The Workforce Alignment team ensures that every aspect of credit and non-credit programming at UVU connects to workforce needs. We work with departments and programs across campus to build and support educational pathways and workforce-aligned programming so that UVU graduates are prepared to make a difference in their communities.
In Fall 2024 UVU will launch a robust 2-year initiative to expand and strengthen microcredentials
across campus. These smaller, shorter certificates are aligned with industry needs,
allowing students to earn higher wages in high-demand fields while continuing forward
in their educational pursuits.
This recent Forbes article explains why microcredentials fill a growing need in higher
education, to meet immediate workforce demands and provide students with stackable
credentials that grow with them over the course of their career.
UVU is full to the brim of important resources that empower students to graduate with the skills they need to join the workforce. However, many of these resources are underutilized. You can help students discover the resources they need by participating in the Campus Resource Treasure Hunt.

What: Visit the following locations on the allotted days and learn about the resources they offer students. At each location, scan the Treasure Hunt QR code – once you scan every QR code, you will be entered into a drawing for a free iPad. Treats will also be given to all participants at the Care Hub.
