Alumni & Staff Member
Rachel Hansen is a digital marketer, Pepsi addict, a UVU graduate and staff member, and part of the Woodbury School of Business.
Growing up, Hansen attended all the events and games hosted at the Utah Valley University (UVU) campus because her dad has worked at UVU for over 20 years. When it was time to choose a college, UVU felt right for Hansen’s personality; she grew up wearing green and did not want to put it away. Three years later, Hansen graduated with a bachelor's degree in digital marketing and a minor in business management.
Digital marketing for Hansen was the perfect outlet in which she could incorporate both her business mind and creative passion. It was the perfect blend for Hansen just as the Utah Valley University Student Association (UVUSA) was the best way to exercise both Hansen’s strong work ethic and her excitement for getting involved. Hansen was a highly engaged high school student and she reached a point at UVU where she felt she needed to do more than just school and work. Hansen applied for a position on the UVUSA board for which she felt very underqualified. However, Hansen was not only offered the Public Relations Chair her first year but was then offered the Chief of Staff position her second year. Hansen loved the connections and friendships she made during her time in UVUSA and felt it amplified her college experience.
After graduating from UVU in May of 2021, Hansen applied for a job in the Woodbury School of Business as a digital marketing coordinator. She loves working in a culture that gives her creative freedom to reach her goals. Hansen loves UVU and appreciates the opportunities the business school has given her.
Hansen loves Pepsi with lemon, her Yeti water bottle doesn’t leave her side, she loves yellow starbursts, and she is proud to be and always be a Wolverine. Hansen is Woodbury
