

Have you ever received a paycheck and three days later wondered where it went? I’ve been there, especially as a college student. Living paycheck to paycheck is no joke, but I am here to tell you that there is a way out! The easiest way to spend less money is to simply be mindful. There are ways I believe to help you be more mindful of your money.
1. Know what comes in and out of your accounts
Simple enough right? You would be surprised at how many people don’t actually know how much their last paycheck was or what day their Netflix subscription comes out. I’ll give you a challenge. Try to write down everything you paid for the last three days with amounts. After you are done, look at your account online and see how close you are. This exercise shows how vital it is to know what comes in and what comes out of your account. When you see how much you are spending on useless subscriptions, dining out, or shopping trips, you just might realize where you need to cut back on a few expense categories.
