About Brent
Brent Bennett began his career serving as a senior account executive with a human resource outsourcing firm, and served in the U.S. Army Reserve representing soldiers returning from Desert Storm in matters pertaining to retirement, life insurance, and the G.I. bill. Brent was named one of Utah’s “Forty Under 40” by Utah Business Magazine and is also one of the magazine’s contributing authors. He currently serves on the board of the Utah Entrepreneur Organization, and serves on the broker advisory board of SelectHealth, Aetna Health Plans, and the National Advisory board of UnitedHealthcare. Brent holds a B.S. in Marketing and Finance from the University of Utah. He lives in South Jordan, Utah, with his wife Jessica and their two children.
Brent has been a leader in the Utah employee benefits market since 2002, when he acquired Spectra Benefits and became the founding partner for its employee benefits division. Under Brent’s leadership, Spectra Benefits was recognized by Inc. 5000 five years in a row as one of the fastest growing privately held companies in America. In 2018, Spectra Benefits was acquired by HUB International Limited, the sixth largest insurance brokerage in the world. As Utah Market Leader, Brent advocates for the Utah entrepreneur and business owner, advising companies on how to best optimize their employee benefits strategy for employee satisfaction and cost sustainability.
