About Jim

James Bramwell is the Executive Vice President, Strategic Partners and Global Channel for Avantor.  In his current role he leads teams in Europe, Asia, and the Americas.  His responsibilities include strategic relationships, contractual governance, enterprise growth, and innovation for Avantor’s largest customers.

Mr. Bramwell has serviced on the executive leadership team twice as his company has gone public over the past five years.

Prior to assuming his current position, Mr. Bramwell served as VWR’s Senior Vice President, Strategic Partners and Global Exports, a position he held from June 2008 to November 2017. Prior to this role, Mr. Bramwell served in several roles at VWR, including Area Vice President of the Southwest U.S. and Mexico and Vice President of Major Accounts.  Mr. Bramwell is one of four founding members of the VWR Foundation established in 2009.  He has served as the Foundation President, Vice President, and Board Director for the VWR Foundation.

Throughout his career Mr. Bramwell has found joy in collaborating throughout the enterprise, in leading the development of teams, in understanding global cultures, in problem solving, and in focusing on what matters most; the customer.

He is a graduate of Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management.

Outside of his professional interests, he enjoys spending his free time with his wife and children, engaging in physical activity, and gives many hours a week serving for his local Church and other community programs.  

He resides with his family in Southern California.
