Steps to Graduation

 

 

Graduation Requirements

  • Completion of 120 semester credits
  • Overall grade point average of 2.0 (C) or above
  • Residency hours: minimum of 30 credit hours through course attendance at UVU, with at least 10 hours earned in the last 45 hours
  • At least 40 credit hours in upper division courses
  • Completion of General Education requirements
  • Completion of specific departmental (major) requirements
  • Successful completion of at least one Global/Intercultural course
  • Successful completion of at least two Writing Enriched (WE) courses

Choose a Capstone or Internship:

Capstone

The Capstone is a 3-credit course that allows you to demonstrate the skills you have gained throughout your coursework by carrying out a meaningful culminating project, paper, and presentation. It is a chance to display your abilities and make a tangible impact in your community and/or chosen field.

Internships

Internships require at least 2 credits and a maximum of 16 credits (with 8 credits per semester). Each credit hour requires 60 hours of internship work, ensuring a meaningful and immersive experience. You can utilize your current employment for your internship by meeting a few specific requirements.
