Brice Douglas - Zaymo
This 1Million Cups presentation brings us back to the first form of digital communication that we still use to this very day. In modern times, it has expanded its communication purposes beyond sending messages. From marketing, to education, and even sending people important files, email has been one of the most renowned forms of communication.
However, as markets adapt to establish a social media presence, many are forgetting the importance of interacting with the customer by email. Brian Douglas and his team aim to increase customer interaction while keeping the customer in their inbox. With this simplified and user-friendly interaction, they hope to help other companies increase their profits and reach out to those who are on the fence with their purchase. He expects Zaymo to add about 20% of revenue through email marketing.
It all started off as a project at Brigham Young University where he would begin establishing Zaymo. As a student, he had ample access to the raw opinions of mentors and potential clients and he took advantage of BYU’s Sandbox program for entrepreneurs. The director of Sandbox, Chris Crittenden, was one of the many mentors and teachers that helped and inspired him to push for Zaymo’s eventual take off.
Brice’s success for his business is to continue building what people want which is what gives him and his team the drive to push Zaymo out to customers.
Word of advice for starting your own business:
