Utah Valley University Rotaract will host a World Polio Day at noon of Wednesday, October 19, 2022.
The tentative agenda of the event will include:
- Introductory remarks by Tristin Juarez-Smith, UVU Rotaract President
- Keynote Presentation from Utah’s Rotary District Governor, Jose Velasco (TBC).
- Greetings by Dr. Joseph Johnson MD, Utah Valley Pediatric
- Community Health and UVU Rotaract student remarks
- Remarks from Utah Symphony (TBC)
- Concluding Remarks from Spencer Mack, Orem-Lindon Rotary Club President
The event will take place during a luncheon hosted by the Utah Valley University Office for Global Engagement and the Orem-Lindon Rotary at LA-116 on UVU Campus from 12:00pm to 1:30pm

UVU Rotaract and Orem-Lindon Rotary are pleased to invite students and faculty of UVU as well as the local community to join Rotary International’s push to eradicate Polio globally.

The event will be hosted by UVU Rotaract as a student engaged learning model, where members of the club will gain professional skills by addressing real-world problems as a group with a faculty serving them as a mentor.
