Orem-Lindon Rotarians and UVU Rotaractors during the Earth Day service project
On Saturday, April 16, 2022, members of the Orem-Lindon Rotary hosted the Earth Day service project at Nielsen's Grove Park in Orem – 2000 South Sandhill Road. It is the oldest park in Utah. The park was started in 1880 by Danish immigrant Jorgen Nielsen. The park is the only park with a water feature and contains many design elements found in European castle gardens.

Participants trimmed Boxwood hedges and raked up any leaves. They also dug tulip bulbs left inside boxwoods from last year to prepare them for new flowers to be planted. Some Rotarians dug up weeds from nearby gravel paths and raked smooth. They also swept curbing surrounding flower beds. Several students put debris collected during the event, in special orange bags with tying up the ends and then placing in dumpsters located in parking lot.
